Thinking of Craig and Tom

During the holiday's we have a chance to think of those who may be in need of a little help. If you don't already know, in Colorado there is a hockey organization named Dawg Nation that provides families and individuals assistance and opportunities during times of crisis: "hockey players helping hockey players."

Dawg Nation has provided nearly 2 million dollars to members of the local hockey community in need and is an awesome group of people led by Martin "Dawg Father" Richardson.
 
One of our fellow officials, Craig Stinehour was recently hospitalized with serious illness and surgery. If you are able to donate towards Craig's expenses through Dawg Nation, they will match each dollar donated with 3 additional dollars, an amazing gesture.  

Another of our long time officials, Tom Braun, recently passed away after a battle with cancer. Tom officiated in our organization for many years in addition to being a medical doctor and teacher and was a well respected member of our community.  In lieu of flowers, Tom's family asked any donations be made to Dawg Nation to use in support of the hockey community.


Please consider a donation, any amount helps, through the Dawg Nation website and support those in the hockey community who are in need.

This is the time of year for CIHRA elections.

There are four offices open for the year July 1, 2021, to June 30, 2022:  Second Vice President (open), Secretary (Andrew O’Donnell), and two Member-at-Large (Jamie Alary and Derek Vandenberg) positions. Celebrating Gary "Senior" Pedigo with a round of golf, some drinks and a good time

Come out and celebrate the life and legacy of Gary "Senior" Pedigo. We all loved him and miss him. His smile and laugh were infectious. So let's celebrate the good times and memories at the course he loved to play. This year's golf tournament will be held on Friday, July 23, 2021 at Walnut Creek Golf Preserve located 10555 Westmoor Dr, Westminster, CO 80021. The shotgun start time will be at 8:30 am. The format will be a 4 person scramble. Check-in/Warm-up will be 7:00 am - 8:15 am. Registration will close at 5pm on July 16, 2021. Register

Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment OK's CAHA Hockey return to play immediately

CAHA has been working with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) over the past several weeks.  We are very pleased to announce that CAHA has affirmed and signed off on new CDPHE guidelines that will permit all CAHA sanctioned activities to resume immediately including full practices and competition. All CAHA members are expected to continue comply with all health guidelines from the CDC, CDPHE, CAHA and local health departments. If you have questions regarding resumption in play, please contact your local Hockey Director for further guidance.
