Avalanche Quebec Qualifier Championship Game

Image
A big congratulations to: Emily Connaughton,  Casey Dabrowski, and  Tanner Conant.  They worked at the 2021 Colorado Avalanche hosted Quebec Qualifier Championship Game that was held at Ball Arena on Tuesday, November 23rd. As we all know, the officials that work this event have shown their commitment and hard work to their craft.  We look forward to their continued growth and development.

Thinking of Craig and Tom

During the holiday's we have a chance to think of those who may be in need of a little help. If you don't already know, in Colorado there is a hockey organization named Dawg Nation that provides families and individuals assistance and opportunities during times of crisis: "hockey players helping hockey players." Dawg Nation Dawg Nation has provided nearly 2 million dollars to members of the local hockey community in need and is an awesome group of people led by Martin "Dawg Father" Richardson.   One of our fellow officials, Craig Stinehour was recently hospitalized with serious illness and surgery. If you are able to donate towards Craig's expenses through Dawg Nation, they will match each dollar donated with 3 additional dollars, an amazing gesture.   Donate to help Craig crush the bills. Another of our long time officials, Tom Braun, recently passed away after a battle with cancer. Tom officiated in our organization for many years in addition to bein...

DONATE TO CRAIG STINEHOUR

Craig underwent emergency surgery 10/27 for a ruptured bowel. He was also diagnosed with COVID. It sounds like he will be in the hospital for at least 5 days and then will have to recover for quite some time afterward. Initially, we seek to cover his medical expenses, as well as help, support him while he is out of work. He works as a general contractor as well as a hockey referee. Keep Craig in your thoughts and prayers and we will update this page as soon as possible. Donate Now

CIHRA's Julie Revers is the Winner of the 2021 Jamie Huntley-Park Award

About the Jamie Huntley-Park Award The Jamie Huntley-Park Pacific District Women's Officiating Camp (PDWOC) took place September 23-26, 2021 in Portland, Oregon.  The Pacific District Women's Officiating Camp has occurred in previous years, and the camp was conducted by Jamie Huntley-Park, with some of her closest friends and staff members, Jackie Spresser, Kendall Hanley, and Alicia Hanrahan.  The Pacific District has always been incredibly supportive of Jamie's initiative and vision for this camp, and the camp has grown to include campers from nearby districts as well. Jamie was a long-time official, player, and coach.  She and her husband, Ryan Park, both San Diego Detectives, were tragically killed in an automobile accident on June 4, 2021. Jamie's friends and the Pacific District felt that it was important to honor Jamie and her legacy by continuing with her vision to grow female officials and to continue with the Pacific District Women's Officiating Camp. ...
